Carpooling and Student Loan Interest Strategy

The fall semester of college is right around the corner and you or someone you know is likely thinking of ways to save money for college. Carpooling is a great way to save money on gas (and wear and tear on your car). Carpooling can be done by both commuters and on campus students. If you live on campus and need to go to the store, find a group of people who need to go to the same area and ride together. You can do this frequently and each take a turn driving if you have a car and if you don’t then you can pitch in a little bit of gas money and everyone still ends up ahead. The money you save on gas can help you pay the interest on your student loans while you are in college.
